This video focuses on about 10 minutes of clips from the full 50 minute October 8th meeting.

This narrative emerges: The Maplewood Voters Coalition purposefully deployed Commissioner Palkovich, who is not trustworthy, to harass Officer Palma for endorsing Rebecca Cave. No motive is articulated. The assumption seems to be that MVC intended to force a reconsideration of the endorsement.

Every element of this story is inaccurate.

The video provides evidence supporting these roles:

  • Bethel initiated the harassment complaint, not Palma
  • Bethel uses a phone call that did happen to anchor a narrative that did not happen.
  • Cave is pushing this use of government power
  • Hjelle advances the narrative using faulty reasoning
  • Longrie rhetorically reinforces the underlying narrative

To what end is the council majority advancing this story?
